Rules of Baccarat
Baccarat ProceduresBaccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are give a value of their printed number meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the 'banker,' the 'player' or for a tie (these aren't actual players; they strictly depict the 2 hands to be given out).
Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the 'banker' as well as 'player'. The value for each hand will be the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 ... five gives a total of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the '1').
A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or 9, both gamblers stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have cash remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie by and large pay eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don't try betting on a tie. Still, odds are positively better - nine to 1 vs. eight to one)
When played smartly, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.
Baccarat Tactics
As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of prior results on a chart is simply a waste of paper ... an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and probably most successful method is the one-three-two-6 concept. This technique is employed to maximize payouts and cutting back risk.
start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th gamble.
If you lose on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
